27th September (World Tourism Day)
Celebration/ Marking the day as beginning of the tourism season for the NNMSG Activities:
Opening of the Handicraft Haat, local artisans organize their handicraft units with fresh materials for the tourism season.

20th November (Foundation Day of Nava Nalanda Mahavihar)
Opening of the Exhibition "Echoes of the Footsteps of the Buddha with special emphasis based on Xuanzang's Record".
NNM has initiated the project "Mapping of Nalanda and around". Latest finds and developments of the project shall be showcased every year under the exhibition entitled "Echoes of the Footsteps of the Buddha with special emphasis based on Xuanzang's record".
Cultural performances by local artists and artist of national repute. North East festival "Buddhiya Kabbadi" (Traditional sports) Interaction workshop for handicraft artisans- inviting the noted artisans from different regions.

Kartik Poornima (21st November, 2010) - Sariputra Parinirvana Day
A Peace walk from Village Nanand to Giriyak peak via Chandi Mau and Paritta Chanting (to be decided) at Giriyak Peak.

Aghan Amavasya (5th Decemebr, 2010) – Moggallāna Parinirvana Day
In the morning peace walk from Nalanda to Juafardih and prayer at Juafardih stupa.
In evening Isigili sutta (Paritta) chanting at Banganga stupa, Rajgir.
"Prajnaparamita Hridaya Sutra Utsava" - one week festival in the 2nd week of February at Xuanzang Memorial Museum.
From 2010 onwards, NNMSG will celebrate one week each year as a week to recount and remember the contribution of one great luminary in the field of Buddhism.
